We are pleased to share that Smitha Rao, Founder of OjasQuest, recently spoke at the Global Summit on Technology, R&D & IP 2025, held on 16–17 December 2025. The summit brought together leaders from industry, academia, and policy to discuss innovation, deep technology, and intellectual property as key drivers of India’s growth.
During the summit,the Founder of OjasQuest shared insights on the critical challenge of translating innovation from academia to the market. While India has a strong foundation in research and innovation, particularly within academic institutions, she emphasized that meaningful impact is achieved when ideas successfully transition from laboratories to real-world applications.
In the context of robotics and automation, the Founder of OjasQuest highlighted how core hardware technologies have largely matured, and how the next phase of value creation lies in intelligent system integration, IoT-driven intelligence, and delivering measurable return on investment especially for MSMEs. She also underscored the importance of strong intellectual property protection, noting that innovation without ownership limits long-term value creation for both innovators and the nation.
