Engineering Smarter & Safer Equipment for your continuous process

We help OEMs design, automate and connect equipment for wells, pipelines, refineries, and new-energy facilities, spanning embedded firmware, safety integration, industrial protocols, software, cloud and IIoT.

Engineering smarter and safer equipment for your continuous process

Operators now expect more from the equipment they buy. It must be safe in hazardous areas and able to report its own health. It must plug into any control system and be secure by design. It has to meet stricter emissions targets. And OEMs are asked to deliver all this on shorter development cycles, with tighter engineering teams.

We become an extension of your engineering team. We bring deep domain skills across hardware, software, automation and connectivity, so you can launch faster without compromising safety or quality.

Standards we engineer to

We design with the requirements of oil & gas standards in mind. We support your certification process; we do not issue certifications ourselves.

  • Hazardous-area requirements: ATEX, IECEx, SIL
  • Functional safety: IEC 61508, IEC 61511
  • OT cybersecurity: ISA/IEC 62443
  • Device diagnostics conventions: e.g., NAMUR NE 107

Built for harsh environments. Designed for the connected field.

Oil & gas equipment has to perform in some of the toughest conditions in industry: high pressure, extreme temperatures, corrosive media and hazardous areas. We partner with OEMs across the full product lifecycle, from concept and detailed design to validation, localization and sustaining engineering. Your products reach the market faster, cost less to build and stay competitive for longer.

We offer

Electronics hardware design

We design the electronics behind smart field devices and controllers, including schematics, component selection, PCB layout and design for low power and harsh environments. Our designs take into account the needs of hazardous-area products, such as intrinsic-safety considerations, EMC performance and thermal management, and support your path to certification.

Embedded firmware & device software

Our embedded teams develop firmware for sensors, transmitters, actuators, analyzers and equipment controllers. Our work covers real-time control, device diagnostics, bootloaders and secure firmware updates. It also covers industrial protocol integration, so your device connects over HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, PROFIBUS, Ethernet-APL, Modbus, OPC UA and more. The result is a device that is intelligent, interoperable and ready for the connected plant. We are pioneers in device integration standards such as FDI Device Package, EDDL, FDT/DTM and GSD files.

Value engineering, obsolescence & localization

Mature product lines need care too. We re-engineer existing products to reduce cost, replace obsolete components and improve reliability, without compromising proven performance. We also adapt products for new regions, covering local standards, alternative suppliers and regional manufacturing requirements. This helps you enter new markets with less risk.

Technical documentation & compliance packs

Oil & gas customers expect complete, accurate documentation. We produce installation and operation manuals, maintenance guides, spare-parts catalogues and illustrated parts lists. We also assemble the technical files and compliance data packs your certification and customer approvals depend on.

Reliable control. Safe operation. Seamless integration.

An equipment package is only as good as the system that controls it. Oil & gas operators expect skids and packages that integrate smoothly with their plant systems, operate safely under abnormal conditions and are easy to commission and maintain. We engineer the control and automation layer of your equipment, from control philosophy to site commissioning support. Your packages ship ready to perform.

PLC, DCS, SCADA & safety system engineering

We develop control applications across the major automation platforms used in oil & gas. Our engineers write and test PLC logic, configure DCS control strategies and build SCADA systems for remote and distributed assets. For safety-critical functions, we engineer safety instrumented system (SIS) logic in line with functional safety principles such as IEC 61511. This includes cause-and-effect implementation, shutdown sequences and interlock logic. We work to your preferred platforms and your customers' specifications.

We have experience and expertise with ABB, Honeywell, Emerson, Yokogawa and Siemens DCS systems.

HMI design & development

We design operator interfaces that make complex equipment simple to run. Our HMI work covers screen design, alarm management, trending and diagnostics displays for local panels and plant-level systems. Where your customers require it, we apply high-performance HMI principles and alarm management practices such as ISA-18.2. This helps operators spot problems early and respond with confidence.

Control panel design & electrical engineering

We design the control panels and electrical systems that bring your automation to life. Our deliverables include electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, I/O lists and cable schedules. Designs take account of hazardous-area requirements, heat dissipation and customer-specific standards, and are ready for fabrication by your shop or your panel-building partner.

Skid & package automation

We automate the packaged equipment that oil & gas facilities depend on, including compression, metering, chemical injection, separation, pumping and heating packages. We define the control philosophy, develop the logic and prepare the integration documentation. The package then connects cleanly to the operator's DCS or SCADA over their preferred protocols, such as Modbus, PROFINET, FOUNDATION Fieldbus or OPC UA.

Control system migration & modernization

Ageing control systems increase downtime risk, spare-parts costs and cybersecurity exposure. We help OEMs and their installed base move from obsolete PLCs, DCS and HMIs to current platforms. Our migration approach covers logic conversion, I/O mapping, testing and cut-over planning. It is designed to preserve proven control behaviour and keep production disruption to a minimum.

FAT/SAT support & commissioning documentation

We help your packages pass inspection the first time. We prepare factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT) procedures, simulate control logic before testing and support test execution. We also deliver the documentation operators require for handover, including functional design specifications, loop diagrams, as-built drawings and operating manuals.

Every protocol your customers use. One engineering partner.

Oil & gas facilities rarely standardize on a single communication protocol. A refinery may run FOUNDATION Fieldbus in one unit and PROFIBUS PA in another. A pipeline operator may rely on Modbus and wireless instrumentation, and an offshore platform's electrical systems may use IEC 61850. For equipment OEMs, protocol support decides which projects your product can compete for. We engineer the protocol capability into your devices, from stack integration to conformance readiness. Your products then connect wherever your customers need them.

Our core capabilities

  • Protocol stack integration & firmware development
  • Device driver files & system integration (FDI, FDT, EDDL, GSDML etc.)
  • Conformance testing & pre-certification readiness
  • Communication gateway & protocol converter development
  • Multi-protocol product platforms
